Composting is an essential element in sustainable developement because it reduces the amount of garbage sent to landfill sites. The BluePlanetSMART can cut the volume of a household garbage bag by more than a third, while also producing a high-quality fertilizer for vegetable and flower gardens, lawns and houseplants.

Our mission is to promote all composting initiatives that create enduring links among municipalities, economic sectors and citizens.

We also want to use our website to educate the public (adults and children) about the benefits of composting so as to lessen the reliance on chemical products and landfill sites.

Ecolosphere Inc. was founded in Montreal in 2003 with the purpose of manufacturing and marketing an innovative household composter. The company came up with a first prototype after a year and a half of research and development of a mould that could be used in a rotomoulding manufacturing process.
